  3. 3

Fold all four corners to the center line.

  4. 4

Reverse the corner folds you've just made to crease, then return to the original fold.

  5. 5

Fold the 2 triangular ends toward the center (you'll end up with a rectangle) to crease, then unfold.

  6. 6

    Flatten out the corner triangles.

  7. 7

Repeat for the other three corners.

  8. 8

Fold the model in half vertically with the triangles on the outside.

  9. 9

Fold the inside of the triangle in half so it points down to create the feet.

  10. 10

Repeat for all four triangles, front and back.

  11. 11

Fold the left triangular end on itself (to the edge of the foot) and unfold.

  12. 12

Then open it up and turn your last fold inside out.

  13. 13

Get the point from inside this fold and fold it back out again.

  14. 14

Fold the point at the other end, not to the edge but slightly above it.

  15. 15

Unfold, open it out, and then reverse the crease.

  16. 16

Stand the pig up. All done.

  • Question

What size paper did you use for the pig?

    Community Answer

Any square paper is okay. It depends on how big you want the pig to be.

  • Question

Is there an origami pig that I could make with more complexity or detail?

    Community Answer

Look up Jo Nakashima's origami tutorials on YouTube. He does some pretty complicated things, and I'm pretty sure he's done a pig before.

  • Question

Can I make a curly tail?

    Community Answer

You would have to get rid of the folded tail, make your own, and then attach it to your pig.

  • Question

Do the folds have to be even?

    Community Answer

Yes you will get the best results if keep the folds even. When you fold, take your time by adjusting the folds before you make a crease, so you can keep them neat.

  • Question

Why doesn't it look like a pig?

    Elizabeth Bolster

    Community Answer

It doesn't always turn out like it should on the first few tries. It can also look like something else for different people, since everyone has a different perspective.

  • Question

Can I make a thicker pig?

    Community Answer

You can try using thicker paper to make it, but it will be difficult, because the thicker the paper is, the harder it will be to fold.

  • Question

Is it possible to make the face more distinct?

    Fredwina

    Fredwina

    Community Answer

You could draw eyes or other facial features, but other than that, there isn't really a way to fold it more distinctly.

  • Question

How do I make the tail longer?

    Butterfly

    Community Answer

To make the pig's tail longer, take another small sheet of paper (preferably, of the same colour) and cut it to the length of the tail you want. Then, simply stick it onto the actual tail, which it already has (the one you would call "short").
